Sacred Crossings upholds that the dying process doesn’t end with the last breath but extends for a period of up to three days. During this time, the soul, spirit or what is often referred to as the ‘luminous body’ separates from the physical and transitions to the next phase of it’s journey. The family and loved-ones begin to integrate the enormity of what has just occurred into their lives and begin their own transformation process moving forward
This workshop focuses on the role of the death midwife at the time of death and for the days following until burial or cremation. Rev. Olivia shares her 15 years experience as a home funeral guide and founder of the Sacred Crossings Funeral Home with stories, information, demonstrations and powerful images and film clips.

Instruction includes care and support after sudden death; rituals in the ICU; bringing baby home after stillbirth; coroner cases; accident and traumatic death.
