Sacred Crossings provides education and guidance to families wishing to create personal and deeply meaningful funerals at home.
OUR MINISTERIAL SERVICES INCLUDE:
- Home Funeral consultation
- Coordination with hospital, hospice, coroner and funeral home
- Education and guidance for preparing and preserving the body for a 1 to 3-day vigil.
- Assistance with creating altars and sacred space
- Guidance in completing and filing required documentation (Death Certificate, Disposition Permit, Authorization for Cremation/Burial)
- Near-death and after-death prayer and meditation vigils
- Delivery of a simple shroud, cardboard cremation casket or pine box to the home
- Guidance in decorating and consecrating the casket
- Locating and coordinating with crematory or cemetery personnel
- Celebrant services for funeral ceremony – (includes personalized funeral rites, rituals and eulogy)
- Resources for music, photography, flowers, video memorials
- Coordinating transport of the body from the home to place of disposition
- Bereavement follow-up care and consultation as needed
OUR EDUCATION SERVICES INCLUDE:
Presentations of 30 – 90 minutes. These include films and topics which can be tailored to the needs and wishes of your group.
Workshops and Trainings range from 1/2 day to 2 full days.

- The history of Funerals in America: – including embalming, cremation and burial practices
